Maphis began playing the guitar over 20 years ago and his passion for music has only amplified. His first act was a county fair in his small hometown of Quincy, California, at the young age of only 6 years old. Having played with many bands as a front man and a hired gun guitar, drum, and bass player, Maphis embodies what it means to be a truly versatile musician. He has been bred into the life of a professional musician being that, in a sense, music is the Maphis family business. His parents both played with and knew the country legends Merle Travis and Joe Maphis so being a dedicated professional musician both on and off stage seems a family tradition. With an arsenal of Country, Rock, and Blues cover tunes Maphis can build a set of music for every preference in the audience. He also has more than 50 original songs that are sure to get toes tapping and listeners to fill a dance floor.
